About Vince MacDermot

Vince MacDermot is a painter who has a background in architecture. At a young age, he learned to draw and paint from the artist Anne Savage. His work is geometric and mathematical. In 1964, when he was just a child, he came to America with his family and settled in Staten Island, New York. Vince MacDermot worked in the architecture profession from 1987 to 2008- after serving apprenticeships with architectural and engineering firms in Manhattan and Staten Island.

His art has been shown at Juno Gallery in lower Manhattan and Canvas Institute Gallery, Staten Island, the MvVO Art Show at the WTC Oculus in 2021, DIVERSIA 2021 – PEOPLE Online Exhibition, the 2021 XIII Florence Biennale and is in collections of private collectors. UNDER THE UMBRELLA, BIG RED NYC

Vince MacDermot is set to have a new show of paintings in Staten Island. The show, called “UNDER THE UMBRELLA, BIG RED NYC”, and at CANVAS INSTITUTE Gallery in Staten Island, NYC last December 18, 2021 an opening for an art exhibition was celebrated that is supported in part by the Cafe Royal Cultural Foundation that will run until February 14, 2022.

Presenting 8 bold red paintings by Vince MacDermot with digital art and NFTs.

NFTs (non-fungible tokens) are a type of digital asset that are unique and cannot be divided into smaller denominations. They are often used to represent digital collectibles, such as digital art.

A portion of the profits will go to local nonprofits devoted to youth and community development.
