In essence, the article talked about how the Gen Z peeps (typically defined as having birthdates between the mid-1990s and the mid-2000s) have little if any brand loyalty. Interestingly enough – this isn’t a rebellious movement. In my opinion, this is born out of opportunity and an entrepreneurial spirit.
The last few decades have brought so much change to the world. Technology has blown the doors off conventional thinking and allowed us to really think outside the box.
The fashion and retail industries are ripe for change. In so many instances – holding on to the past and being petrified to let go of the old way of doing things. Look I get it, when you’re running a business it’s very difficult to look at things that have worked and proved profitable in the past and completely toss those methods out the window.
However, this generation is producing a new breed of thinkers. They are not only taking technology and applying it in a practical manner to traditional industries, but they are also completely changing the game- in a very big way.
It’s no longer enough to think outside the box. The box people- no longer exists. Real estate in general as an industry Is old, tired, and in need of an overhaul. Technological advances over the last 20 years have opened all sorts of new doors. I’ll never understand how many folks in the Staten Island Real Estate market and beyond are so resistant to change. I get it, it’s scary. It seems as soon as we adapt to a new system – it’s already being replaced by the next big thing.
But consider the other side of things. This is such an unbelievably exciting time. We have technologies and data available to us we never dreamed possible. We have just started scratching the surface folks.
At Casandra Properties, we are doing our part to adapt, respond, and innovate. We have now formed some really exciting partnerships with tech companies and have some super exciting initiatives in development. We are constantly seeking new partners, new blood, innovators to collaborate on the next big thing.
We are in the process of putting the framework together for our technology division so if you have some ideas you would like to share, or maybe you’re a programmer looking for real estate partners- reach out. We are aggressively looking to expand our network and strategic partnerships. The future is now, don’t blink folks…or you may miss it!
