Murray and Dave Berman, a father-son duo of local developers who bought the shopping mall in 2018, said a year later that they planned to sell it after making significant improvements. Over the previous four years, the PreReal, Prendamano Real Estate team in Bulls Head has been working with the Bermans to totally rebuild the center. A children’s wing, a parent’s lounge, and a focus on experiential food and beverage and service-based retail are among the new elements, he said.
“THE SHOPPING CENTER HAS BEEN SOLD FOR AN UNDISCLOSED SALE PRICE, SAID JAMES PRENDAMANO, CEO AND FOUNDER OF PREREAL™, PRENDAMANO REAL ESTATE, BULLS HEAD.
The new owner, Jack Wolcowitz, is excited to acquire one of Staten Island’s premier retail assets and continue to build upon the success of this vibrant shopping center.
“This sale marks an important chapter for PreReal™, Prendamano Real Estate, which was launched in 2020. This was a collaborative effort met with countless late nights as we navigated not only a shifting retail landscape, but a global pandemic,” said Prendamano.
“The work of Rob Nixon, Brian McGowan, and Celia Iervasi embodies the transformative results the RPO program was intended to deliver. I’m exceedingly proud of the work the team did here, and we look forward to continuing to drive value for our clients,” James added.
